Im trying to play demo files (and movies) with UHD and TrueHD Atmos. The current stable release of VLC (2.2.4) does not support Dolby Atmos 7.1 sound.

When I stream a movie marked Atmos from a movie app using MX Player Pro as my media player, with the proper Atmos/TrueHD codec, the best I can get is 5.1 or Dolby Digital Plus 2.0. If I play the file above with Window 10's Film & TV app, the file plays with surround sound (through the pc realtek optical connection).
